This is not a sniper rifle, but merely antenna or stick to hang food during winter (if not enough room in the refrigerator). This is also a typical Russian town with not very big population, so I would not necessarily call that "slums".

This is actually a friend of mine, we work together. There is no sniper and nobody is training fo the military!!!!!

If you stop the movie at 3:37-3:38 there is a metal pole that is supported by brackets and two other poles clearly apart of the building.

It is below the window and I would hope that the "Russian CIA LOL MAFIA LOL SPETZNAZ" would weld their sniper to the f*cking building.

I am freezing the frame right now at 3:38 looking at this guy doing parkour (who is NOT Matt Damon from The Borne Supremacy (He's not getting out of bed for some handheld video and no contract)) at the metal object mounted to the side of a building. You can see the outrigger supports on either side.

Think about scale first off; if that were a rifle at the distance in this shot the barrel would be about 8-10 inches in diameter and about 10 feet long to have that much barrel sticking out of a window and a 'mechanic' on the other end.

Besides I would want to know that any sniper I had working for me was able to get off a shot without compromising his position by stick his big giant Elmer Fudd elephant gun out the window.

Furthermore if an actual sniper were up there he'd most likely be on the roof, not trapped in front of a window with no view of his environment.

Nah its a pole coming off the window. Its quite obvious that it has metal supports on the side and it seems to me to be bolted to the side of the building.
There is no sniped in the pictures during 3:38.
And karben, teh sniper would not be on the roof of a building. First off, he would have to recieve special permission for some reason or he would have to sneak on (more likely). Having to dodge security guards is no way to exit the scene.
