I am a mechanic in the U.S. Army Reserves. While on active duty we had to order new Hummers and parts. A new HUMMVEE with the "turtle shell"(hard cover and doors) and turret costs around $40,000.
It's amazing what some people believe even the govt. will pay for something.

This video was taken at Fort Bliss, 2002 - NOT Iraq. Soldiers were from C/3-6 ADA (Patriot). The HMMWV frame was bent and the engine was broken from its mounts. 2 soldiers and one NCO were given Article 15s (Administrative punishment). Driver was treated for neck/back injuries. Passenger suffered internal organ damage. I know these things as I was in this brigade. BTW, this HMMWV had a price tag of approx $35k - no uparmor, just a 2 seater with soft cargo cover.

steve u obviuosly dont know why we use hemvees instead of jeeps. Its because hummers offer GREATER PROTECTION for the crew, greater toughness and much better weaponry. Not manuverability

its a hummer H1 alpher, with a hard top shell on the back, the cost of a stock H1 is around 180,000. and if its been upgraded by the army it would cost about 200,000

it's alpha not alpher dumb ass, they cost about 110k and that is deff not one, I am a proud OWNER of a H1, the price of these is closer to 40k, a alpha is for civilian w/ duramax and allison, quit trying to act smart, your not
