People! Take some science classes and use your brains. The carbonation is released by the mentos not because they are mentos but because of the reaction between the sugar and the carbonated water. IF you just dumb dry sugar into a coke it will do the same thing (or even a beer for that matter). Anyhow THIS IS FAKE because when you drink the coke the carbonation is agitated and the air escapes to the point where the explosive effect is minimal. Just try opening a coke, shake it around a bit and then try the mentos thing.. you'll see that it only fizzes a tiny bit.
You might BURP really loud for a while but you will not have projectile vometing.. that is FAKE.. but these film makers are very creative!!
Next time I want to see them do a coke and mentos enima.
