| Note that not all batteries are assembled the same way. As one other guy found out when he opened up one and found four big cells rather than 32 smaller cells. Most 9V batteries are made from an arrangement of 6 AAAA (yes, that's quadruple-A) batteries, but some are still made from the flatter style stacked on top of eachother. The smaller cylindrical cells lend themselves to higher current capacity than the flatter ones. The tops and bottoms of the batteries have a board with contacts that press up against the cells inside which dictates how they are arranged.
Potentially a good deal, but your mileage may vary.
And batteries in parallel add current capacity, batteries in series add voltage. |
