I would be willing to bet that many walkers get hi
t by cars just from dozing off and losing their at
tention. I myself have almost been hit by a moron
(probably drunk) that ran up the sidewalk. At leas
t when someone is intending on splashing a group o
f people, they are competent behind the wheel... B
esides, they don't even need to go very fast to ma
ke a pretty big splash. Realize that this is a sma
ll crime compared to the many others. Hell, I get
more angry when my mailbox gets beaten by a baseba
ll bat then when some college douchebag runs his c
lunker into a ditch to splash people.
