He's striking both corotid arteries in the neck, a
nd giving him a little tap on the inside leg to ad
d a little momentum and cause him to fall. He pas
ses out because of the sudden drop in blood pressu
re. The corotid artery is a ribbon like structure
so it is easy to temporarily shut off blood flow
through it. You really don't need any special tra
ining for this strike to be effective, although ce
rtain 'players to the game' would amplify it's eff
ects. Please don't try playing about with this te
chnique - it's easy to do, and easy to get very wr
ong, as this technique can cause heart problems at
a later date. Furthermore, the slapping and rubb
ing was to stimulate the nervous system with a bit
of a shock around the brain stem which will gener
ate adrenalin, and based on where he was applying
pressure, he was stimulating the gall-bladder meri
dian. Again - if you want to learn such technique
s, please do so under the instruction of a compete
nt instructor. (BTW, that is not some goon with a
black belt around his waist that demonstrates 'pre
ssure point' knock outs simply to massage his ego
and show how awesome he is...) That said, in a li
fe and death situation, if accessible, the corotid
is a good target.
